Andy’s History 1980’s
1981: Two warehouse facilities purchased making total space 38,000 square feet.
1983: Commercial warehousing services expanded to include new store set up and display capabilities.
1985: Qualcom tracking and messaging systems installed in nationwide fleet. This allows instant driver communication and real time tracking of most interstate moves.
1987: Andy’s purchases Ledger Newspaper building increasing storage capacity to 55,000 square feet.
1988: Joe Kroening acquires all Andy’s stock and becomes sole owner. Andy’s named “North American Top Quality Agency.” This honor achieved by on the best 2 to 3% of all agencies worldwide.
Andy’s History 1990’s
1993: Andy’s earns “Agency of Year” award among all California North American Van Lines agents. This awards in earned again in 1994, 1995 and 1996.
1994: Andy’s adopts major computer reorganization allowing interfacing American corporate headquarters for information exchange. Jill (Kroening) Longo and Heather (Kroening) Diner join Andy’s operations and marketing departments, becoming the third generation of the Kroening family to manage and operate Andy’s Transfer and Storage. High value and new products (Blanket Wrap) services expanded upon to round out Andy’s complete transportation services.
1995: Entire long haul trailer fleet updated with all new equipment. First time in history of Andy’s that all long distance, road trailers are less than one year old.
1996: Andy’s name “Business of the Year” by Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce for continued community involvement.
1997: Andy’s earns “Registered International Mover” certificate. The first company in Los Angeles recognized as a lead in international relocations.
1998: Andy’s earns coveted “Customer Service Excellence” award. This honor is earned by the top one percent of all NAVL agencies. Revenue exceeds five million dollars, placing Andy’s in the top forty of all NAVL agencies nationside.
1999: Andy’s recognized by North American Van Lines, as a “Premier Service Producer” for Andy’s expansion of their self haul fleet that is now operating nationwide in the United States and all Canadian provinces.
